Lead the Way is a top-down view puzzle game focused towards the mobile platform. The player is an alien character that comes to Earth in search of different crystals that were misplaced by its ancestors in different parts of the planet. The player can choose different abilities to help him along the way to take on the traps.
I joined the team as a Level Designer. My tasks in the beginning included building the levels in Unity based on 2D level designs. I caught up pretty quickly and was then assigned the task of designing the levels in 2D and implementing them in 3D after the game designers approval. I also lit the levels after building them. Along with level design, I worked closely with the game designer and together we came up with new gameplay mechanics that would make the game more engaging. I also tested the levels and reported bugs to the programmers and project manager.
